Huldufólk Captured by a Priest at Sørvágsvatn
At Sørvágsvatn Lake on Vágar (the lake that famously appears to hang over the ocean), there is a stone mound where, according to legend, a priest trapped several Huldufólk (Hidden People). The priest used his spiritual authority to imprison the supernatural beings within the mound. Visitors to the area claim they can still hear the wailing and cries of the trapped hidden people emanating from the stone.
