A-Men (Rainbow Serpent)
The A-Men, also known as the Rainbow Serpent, is one of the most powerful ancestral beings in Australian Aboriginal mythology, particularly among the Yolngu and Lardil peoples of Arnhem Land. This immense serpentine creator deity emerged from beneath the earth during the Dreamtime, carving out huge ridges, mountains, and gorges as it pushed upward across the landscape. The Rainbow Serpent is closely associated with water sources such as permanent waterholes, springs, and rivers, and is believed to control the most precious resource of life itself. It is both a benevolent giver of life and a de
