Abada
In Kongo tradition, the Abada (also Nillekma or Arase) is a unicorn-like creature the size of a small donkey with a boar's tail and two crooked horns that hang limp when relaxed but harden when threatened. Its horns act as antidotes to poison and disease. Father Balthazar Tellez (17th c.) distinguished it from the unicorn: 'The Abada has two crooked horns... serving as antidotes against poison.
