Adlet
The Adlet (Erqigdlit) are the half-human, dog-legged people of Inuit mythology in Greenland, Labrador and the Hudson Bay coasts. In the story of 'The Girl and the Dogs', a girl marries the dog Ijirqang and their children become the adlet. Rink and Boas recorded the tradition in 1889; on the east Greenland coast it is told as the origin of the Qavdlunait and Irqigdlit, cannibals in some versions.
