Áhaiyúta (Morning Star, War God)
Áhaiyúta is one of the two Zuni Twin War Gods, the elder of the pair with his brother Mátsailéma; together the 'Twain Little-ones' are the right- and left-hand beings of the Sun, gods of war, chance and games. In Frank Hamilton Cushing's Zuni Folk Tales they descend to the underworld, battle the soft 'unborn-made men', and clear the world of its monsters.
