Aisha Qandisha (Aisha Kandisha) is a female spirit of the Maghreb, most strongly documented in Moroccan folklore but known across the region including Tunisia. Described as a beautiful woman with long hair and lower limbs that end in hooves, she haunts rivers and springs and is said to seduce and harm those who stray; she is invoked in protective rituals and possession practices in North Africa.
