Al Ghoula is the female form of a ghoul from Arabic and Islamic folklore, a type of jinn-like demon that dwells in cemeteries, deserted places, and wilderness areas. The ghoul concept originated in pre-Islamic Arabian religion and the female ghoul is sometimes called umm ghulah or mother ghoul. In Arabian folklore, Al Ghoula appears to men as a long-lost female relative or an unassuming old woman, using glamour to lure hapless victims into her home where she can eat them.
