Al-Khidr
Al-Khidr ('the Green One') is a mysterious, immortal guide of Islamic tradition, celebrated in the Quran (Surah al-Kahf 18:60-82) for the journey he shares with Moses. Veiled in green, he appears at springs, seashores, deserts and crossroads to teach hidden wisdom through acts that seem unjust but serve divine mercy. In Jordan and the Levant, shrines and green-marked sites mark his presence.
