Alpamysh (Uzbek)
Alpamysh (Alpomish) is the national heroic epic of Uzbekistan and its hero, a mighty warrior of the Kongrat tribe who rides the magical horse Baychibar. He defends his people against usurpers, fights for justice, and restores order to a divided tribe. The Uzbek version recorded from bard Fazil Yuldash-oghli exceeds 14,000 verses, performed by bakhshi singers.
