Angatra
Angatra are malevolent spirits of the dead in Malagasy belief: restless shades of people whose bodies were never properly buried or whose memory the living failed to preserve. They haunt tombs and places of death, feared as dangerous unlike the benevolent razana (ancestors). In some accounts neglected angatra become kinoly, murderous wraiths that roam at night.
