Angelo Custode
The Angelo Custode (guardian angel) is the personal angel believed to protect and guide each individual, a tenet of Catholic teaching and popular piety. Rooted in scripture (Matthew 18:10, Acts 12:15) and elaborated by Aquinas, it holds that every person receives an angel at birth. Devotion includes the 'Angel of God' prayer and the 2 October feast of the Guardian Angels.
