Aningaut
Anningan is the Moon god of the Greenland Inuit, brother of Malina, the Sun goddess. He chases his sister across the sky and forgets to eat during the pursuit, which is why he grows thin in phases and disappears for three days at the new moon; his endless chase explains the alternation of day and night and the changing moon.
