Not independently attested in folklore literature. No Nepali tradition records an 'ant ancestor-spirit', and the claimed desert-borderlands framing does not match Nepal's geography. Nepali folk religion venerates ancestors and local deities, and genuine Himalayan figures include the yeti and the masked demon-dancer Lakhe, but the ant plays no documented spiritual role.
