Anumwaresi
Anumwaresi is the spirit of the rainbow in Chuuk (Truk), long counted among the most well-known and most feared of the Carolinian nature spirits. It is believed to afflict pregnant women, and this belief, recorded in Chuukese tradition from at least 1915, persists into the present. Within the Chuukese cosmology of the énu, it belongs to the class of feared spirit beings that share the island world with humans.
