Ay-Chürök
Ay-Chürök ('Moon Swan') is a swan maiden of the Kyrgyz epic, the fairy wife of Semetey in the Manas cycle. As a human she is stunningly beautiful and luminous; as a swan, pure white and graceful, able to fly between human and celestial realms. Loyal and wise, she links the human and spirit worlds, a swan-maiden motif common across Central Asian folklore.
