Barchin
Barchin (Barchinoy, Oy Barchin) is the heroine of the Alpamysh epic, daughter of Boysar and the model of the brave and loyal woman of Turkic tradition. She wins her hero through contests of archery, wrestling and skill, resists a forced marriage, and holds the people together in his absence; her mausoleum still stands near the site of old Sighnoq.
