Bata
Not independently attested in folklore literature. In Philippine languages bata means 'child,' and bata-bata was a term for small carved ancestor images (taotao/anito) in pre-colonial religion; the bat-spirit narrative belongs to Udmurt tradition, not the Philippines. The closest genuine analogues are the anito and diwata guardian spirits of indigenous Philippine belief.
