Bear Deity (Laotian)
Not independently attested in Native North American folklore. This 'Laotian moon-bear deity' is a Laotian animist concept mis-assigned to USA folklore and mis-cited to Native American ethnography. Lao animism centers on phi, or place and nature spirits, with no documented bear deity of the kind described; the white-furred moon-bear appears to be fabricated.
