Beaver Tsimshian
The Beaver is a Tsimshian crest whose origin is told as the Gitsalas legend of the Beaver Crest, recorded by William Beynon. A woman dammed a stream to swim in it and refused to leave, and she was transformed, her leather apron becoming the beaver's tail. Beaver is a clan ancestor of the Eagle division and a figure of diligence and persistence.
