Bee Goddess
The Bee Goddess is a deity of Minoan and Mediterranean tradition, best known from Minoan seals depicting a female figure flanked by bees. In Greek religion, bees and honey link mortals to the divine: melissae ('bees') were priestesses of Demeter and Artemis, and the bee symbolized the soul (psyché) departing the body, rebirth, and divine order in the temple hierarchies of ancient Crete.
