Not independently attested in folklore literature. Bison are not native to the Northwest Coast, and no Kwakwaka'wakw ancestor-spirit is a bison. The Kwakwaka'wakw do hold real ancestor-founder spirits whose names, songs, and dances are potlatch privileges, but none is a bison figure; the entry invents the role through a claimed 'trade' route.
