Not independently attested in folklore literature. The White Buffalo Calf Woman (Ptesáŋ Wiŋ) and white-buffalo symbolism are genuine Lakota traditions, but no 'Bison Ghost' omen, spirit-herd return, or Black Hills haunting is documented; the 'some elders say' framing signals invention. Real Lakota spirit beings (wanagi) are not bison ghosts.
