Bison Spirit of Aztec
Not independently attested in folklore literature. The directional, color, maize, and Chicomecoatl associations assigned to a bison are fabricated; bison were unknown in Aztec cosmology. The teotl concept and the maize goddess Chicomecoatl are real, but never linked to bison, and no post-contact cattle integration is documented.
