Not independently attested. Bison do not occur in Nigeria, and no Yoruba guardian spirit associated with the bison appears in Yoruba orisha tradition or documented diaspora practice. The entry's account of a bison guardian among 'African Canadian' communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan is unsupported and appears fabricated; no Yoruba source names such a figure.
