Not independently attested as a figure of Paraguayan or Olmec tradition. Bison never inhabited Paraguay nor the Gulf-Coast lands of the historical Olmec, and no source documents a bison spirit guarding waters; the input even concedes the figure is not Olmec. Paraguay's documented spirits are Kurupí, Pombero and the jaguar (yaguareté), not a bison.
