Bjarndýrakóngur (King of the Polar Bears) is a mythical polar bear king in Icelandic folklore, born from the union of a female polar bear and a walrus or a bull. The Bjarndýrakóngur has distinctive red cheeks and a single horn on its forehead tipped with a platinum globe that emits light. It understands human speech, speaks itself, and commands all other polar bears. Bjarndýrakóngur only kills in self-defense or as a judgment against those who have committed terrible crimes.
