Bjergfolk

Bjergfolkene (the Mountain Folk) are the Danish version of underworld beings who live inside ancient burial mounds (gravhøje). They appear as small people the size of 7-8 year old children, wearing red caps, who are seen dancing on mounds at twilight, cooking over invisible fires, and working as smiths inside the hills.
