Blue Jay (Iqesqes)
Blue Jay (Iqesqes) is the trickster hero of the Chinook and southern Salishan peoples, a bright-feathered being who is benevolent but hopelessly foolish. He blunders into the Land of the Dead with his sister Ioi and, through disrespect, brings disaster, and his tales of the spirit world are told as warnings and slapstick.
