Blue Wolf (Börte Chino)
Börte Chino, the Blue-Grey Wolf, is the divine ancestor of the Mongols. According to the Secret History of the Mongols, the wolf and the doe Qo'ai Maral came together in love, crossed the sea, and settled at the head of the Onon river near the holy mountain Burkhan Khaldun, where their descendants, the Mongol people, arose.
