Boiadeira
Not independently attested in folklore literature as a water serpent. The name (feminine of boiadeiro, 'cattle driver') labels the real Brazilian class of cowboy spirits — the Boiadeiros of Umbanda and the bumba-meu-boi ox-festival tradition — but the great black serpent described is the Cobra Grande/Boiúna of Amazonian legend, mislabeled here.
