Bortbyting
Bortbytingen (the swapped one) is a changeling — a troll infant left in place of a human baby stolen by trolls or the underground folk. In Swedish folklore, the Bortbyting is ugly, sickly, and never grows properly. It has an enormous appetite and cries constantly, but also displays unnaturally adult behavior — it may speak in rhymes, comment on events it should not understand, or recite knowledge no infant could possess.
