Boto
The Boto (Encantado) is the Amazon river dolphin shapeshifter of Brazilian Amazon folklore. At night it becomes a handsome man in white clothing with a hat hiding its blowhole, attends riverside festivals, seduces women, and returns to the river by dawn. Children from these unions are 'filhos do boto.
