Not independently attested in documented Mossi (Moose) tradition or academic sources: no collection or record names a water-serpent 'Kintogou' among the Mossi of Burkina Faso. The description of a guardian river-serpent is generic and unverified; the closest documented West African water-dragons are the Soninke Bida and the Gambian Ninki Nanka.
