Bynesånden
Bynesånden (the Byneset Spirit) is a local ghost from the Byneset area of Trondheim, a rural district on the west side of the Trondheimsfjord. The spirit is believed to be the ghost of a woman who died of a broken heart after her lover was lost at sea. She is said to appear at the Byneset church (one of the oldest stone churches in Norway, dating to around 1180) and along the Byneset shoreline.
