Chaac (Chaahk)
Chaac, the Maya rain god (Chaahk), is a humanoid deity with a long curling trunk-like nose, fangs and shell ear ornaments who hurls his lightning axe (K'awiil). He brings rain to the crops and dwells in clouds, mountains and cenotes; his four directional aspects wear red, white, black and yellow, and neglect provokes storms or drought.
