Chufi (Rabbit)
Chufi, the Rabbit, is the trickster of the Muscogee (Creek) people, a small, quick animal whose cleverness and mischief animate many Creek stories. In one well-known tale he stole fire from those who kept it hidden and brought it to the people; in others he outwits larger animals, and his escapades teach the limits of cunning.
