Corn Woman
Corn Woman is the corn-giving spirit of the Muscogee (Creek) people, honored at the busk, the Green Corn Ceremony that begins the Creek new year. In origin accounts corn was a gift that came through a woman, and the ceremony renews the world with new fire, thanksgiving, and the first fruits of the harvest.
