Cougar Ghost of Kazakh
Not independently attested: cougars (mountain lions) do not occur in Kazakhstan, and no 'cougar ghost' appears in Kazakh sources; the figure is likely a mislabeled big-cat spirit. Genuine Kazakh great-cat traditions concern the snow leopard (ilbirs) and the extinct Caspian tiger (qaplan, yulbars), both revered in steppe and mountain lore as powerful guardian beings.
