Cougar Guardian (Guarani)
Not independently attested as a figure of Guarani tradition. No source records a protective cougar guardian among the Guarani, and the input's claim that Guarani-speaking peoples of Mexico preserved such a being is unfounded. Genuine Guarani forest spirits are Pombero, Jasy Jatere and Kurupí, while the tree-guarding Curupira belongs to Brazilian Tupi folklore, not to a Paraguayan cougar.
