Coyote Deity of Kikuyu
Not independently attested: coyotes are North American animals absent from East Africa, and no coyote deity exists in Kikuyu (Gikuyu) religion, which centers on Ngai, the supreme god of Mount Kenya. Kikuyu trickster tales feature the hare and the spider rather than a coyote. The jackal appears in some African fables, but the described 'coyote deity as Ngai's messenger' is a fabricated import.
