Coyote Ghost of Yurok
Yurok cosmology, recorded by A. L. Kroeber, places 'a gigantic white coyote and his yellow mate' at the head of the river in the sky, where the White Deerskin Dance is danced nightly. The celestial white coyote is a genuine Yurok being, distinct from the trickster Wohpekumew; the 'ghost' framing is not.
