Not independently attested in folklore literature. No Yurok narrative describes a giant coyote carving the Klamath canyon or the redwood forests. The attested Yurok coyote figures are the celestial white coyote of the sky world (Kroeber) and the trickster Wohpekumew; the land-shaping giant is fabricated.
