Coyote Nature-Spirit (Maya)
Not independently attested in Malian tradition. Coyotes are North/Central American; Maya civilization is Mesoamerican. The record's description of a Maya forest spirit overseeing a maize covenant with Yum Kaax is authentically Yucatec Maya but entirely misplaced in Mali. No coyote spirits exist in Dogon, Bambara, or Mandinka cosmologies.
