Not independently attested: no crab water-spirit is documented in Zimbabwean lore, and the entry relocates the fiction to the Seychelles, where the coconut crab is real fauna but carries no attested spirit cult. The tale of a guardian crab travelling ocean currents from inland Zimbabwe to coral reefs is invented.
