Crane Ancestor-Spirit of Cherokee
Not independently attested as an ancestor-spirit of Cherokee folklore. The crane appears in Cherokee tales — racing the hummingbird for the people's respect and appearing in hunting formulas — but no crane ancestor-spirit or crane clan totem is documented. Cherokee clan animals and spirits center on other beings, not a crane ancestor.
