Crane Guardian of Passamaquoddy
A celestial crane guardian is not attested in Passamaquoddy tradition. In Wabanaki folklore the crane does appear, but as a vain, easily flattered character in the Lox stories, not as a sky guardian. No Passamaquoddy guardian spirit of this kind appears in the recorded ethnographic or oral sources.
