Crane Guardian of Uzbek
The crane (turna) is a sacred and deeply revered bird of Uzbek and wider Turkic folklore, celebrated as a messenger of spring and of news from home and as a symbol of fidelity and longing. Its migration and calling fill songs of separation and hope; the title of a named guardian spirit is a modern addition to this older bird cult.
