Not independently attested as an animal-spirit of Blackfoot folklore. Cranes hold only minor, incidental parts in Blackfoot tales told around the trickster Old Man (Napi); no crane spirit is recorded. The USA duplicate repeats the unattested claim, which appears in no documented Blackfoot narrative.
