Crow (Maya)
Not independently attested as a Maya trickster or guide. Crows are not major figures in Maya mythology, and the recorded story of a crow leading Maya families to Canada and turning snow to cornmeal is a modern fabrication. The closest attested bird being is Vucub-Caquix ('Seven Macaw'), the false sun of the Popol Vuh, shot down with a blowgun.
