Dagas is the cosmic world tree in Maldivian mythology, a colossal silver-leaved tree with blue-glowing roots at the spiritual center of the archipelago. Its leaves whisper secrets of past and future. The seafarer Bodu Niyami Kalēfanu journeyed to Dagas at the world's end to bring tuna to Maldivian waters.
